Cross-sectional study was done on 60 dissection of the femoral specimens (17 men and 13 women). The results showed that: the femoral models had only one branch accounted for 78.4% and had two branches accounted for 21.6%. In particular, the origin of the descending branches had many anatomical variants, the most common type (only one descending branch) splited from the LCFA were 56.7%, the two descending branch: medial descending branch were from the femoral artery or LCFA, the lateral descending branch were from the femoral artery, LCFA or deep femoral artery. On each thigh, the descending branch gave out 22 branches supplying for muscles of thigh. The diameter of the descending branch was 2.9 mm.
