A cross-cutting survey conducted on 2.318 persons with disabilities (PWDs) living in 8 communes of Hanoi, Haiphong, Hatay (new Hanoi) and Namdinh to explore the needs of PWDs in medical services stratified by different geographical areas, age groups, sex and types of disabilities. These communes were selected randomly and represented for different geographical areas (moutainous, rural, coastal and urban). Result: 98.6% of total PWDs who needed of medical care and rehabilitation services, of which, the need of assistive devices was at the highest rate. PWDs’needs of medical services were different to geographical regions, age group, sex and types of disabilities. The design of medical care and rehabilitation intervention program needs to pay attention to the factors of geographical regions, age group, sex and types of disabilities.
